Here’s a look into the pages of my sketchbook.

Though I’ve been working on the GlymyreScape manuals, I’ve also been working on a new web-comic based on the same RPG. This is one of the main characters. Well, actually, he is the character that the web-comic centers on. On the other hand, Chirard (his name) doesn’t start out looking like this (at least not until the latter part of the first issue). Yeah, like any character in a role playing game, he starts out with first level skills, cheap clothes, and weapons to match. I even have a character sheet for him. Chirard has a long way to go…

Interesting. The characters going to be aware that they are in an RPG? Like after successfully going through combat, are they going to ‘level up’ etc?

Still trying to decide on that. I know they are going to level up, but whether or not they mention it as leveling up or it just works into the story as added abilities and proficiency I’m not sure. I’ve got half of the storyboard written up for the first issue and it hasn’t come up yet. In the game, the xp’s are given at the end of each session and the players buy levels in the skills they choose with the points. Working that into characters who are cognizant of their existence in an rpg might be problematic, but I can see it being possible. Thanks for asking! 🙂
