Levi's Daily Thoughts

One of my favorite regular places to go is the barbershop. My barber has been in the same building for over 50 years. Gerald is 73 years old, but as able bodied as any 50 year old. His hair, without any added color, is coal black and thick. I’ve told him that I don’t covet much but that I do his hair. I’m pretty sure it is some of his Cherokee Indian blood that helps him in this area. He is from Oolagah, Ok. which is the birth place of Will Rogers. He has lived in the same house for over 40 years which is only a couple of miles from me in the country. Gerald is a very skilled roper, and he still ropes steers in competition almost every week.
